My second mock draft of the off-season after hearing more intel and speculation on the internet.
Truth be told, with how many times I’ve adjusted and started this mock draft over, this should be called Mock Draft 10.0. But since this is the second one I’ve made public, we’ll go with 2.0.
I usually do not like to have trades in my mock drafts, and I did not have any in 1.0. But now, there’s no way I can do a true mock without including two trades specifically:
The Dallas Cowboys trading up to #6 overall with the Browns.
And a team trading back into the first round to select Ty Simpson, which you will see towards the end.
The reasoning is that there is so much smoke behind Dallas moving up, that it had to be included. And reading the Ty Simpson tea leaves leads me to believe that a team is picking him in the first round. The fact that he entered the draft in the first place is an indicator, and that he will be attending Day 1 of the draft in person is a second indicator.
Just the selections will be listed here, for more detailed analysis about the picks, you can watch on video at: Brandon Jackson – YouTube.
