Tyrese “Danny Phantom” Haliburton

Look, I’m always gonna call it like I see it. I’ve been saying Haliburton was firmly in the top ten players in the league, and I was calling out Anthony Edwards for his performances. It’s only right I come to the stage and acknowledge that Haliburton was a better ghost than Casper last night. It is what it is.

In a close-out game, that statline is unacceptable. 8 points is disgusting, even for a pass-first point guard. What’s even more disgusting is the 7 shot attempts. The team needed you, and you brought nothing to the table.

You’ve given us one of these games per series, and if you really want to be taken seriously as a superstar in this league, this cannot happen this often. People have bad games, yes, but the greats make sure they are few and far between.

This game was definitely winnable, with a better Haliburton performance, or anyone else who wanted to step up to the plate for that matter. This series is still 3-2 and the Pacers have a home game coming up on Saturday. I have zero doubt that they will win this series, and for everyone’s sake, I hope it happens on Saturday.

I have no interest in watching the crowd in Madison Square Garden be on fire again like they were on Thursday. Send Timothee Chalamet home sad after game 6.

(As sad as one who is the leading man of a huge movie franchise and dating Kylie Jenner can be.)
