Multiple things can be true at once.

A subset of Caitlin Clark fans are using her to further their racist agendas (Dave Portnoy).

There are a lot of people using the WNBA as a conduit for their hatred of black women, and using Caitlin as the face for it.

And that they are using Angel Reese as the main target.

Angel Reese does not deserve to be treated in this way.

Those things are true.

But there are also other things that can be true.

Angel Reese should not be compared to Ruby Bridges (I’m not putting that here, but it’s on my twitter).

Those were not monkey sounds being played in the during the Sky vs. Fever game.

Caitlin is a better basketball player than Angel.

It is allowed for the two individuals to not like each other.

If there were fans crossing the line in the arena, the Fever should be held accountable and have to do something about it.

Robert Griffin the Third should be banned from talking about sports, and Rob Parker was right about him.

There are people who love women’s basketball and can appreciate both Angel and Caitlin for what they bring to the table.

There are people that support both.

We do not have to tear down one, in order to support the other.

We can have space for both.

We DO have space for both.
