Brandon’s 2019 Fantasy Rankings 4.5

Football season where are you?

All I’ve been thinking about is fantasy football, and my personal rankings. So I figured for everyone’s entertainment and benefit, I would post my rankings. Just for you to think about and talk about. Also to use this against me if I’m in a league with you.

I will provide the overall rankings and add later round players at a later date.

Running Backs

Going into 2019, I thought Saquon Barkley would be the undisputed #1 overall pick in fantasy football. He may very well end up being the #1 at the end of the year, but in my heart of hearts, I can’t draft him as such right now. That Giants team is just going to be too bad and limit his upside.

Zeke is back. And it’s time for him to take back his rightful place in the #1 spot. He may take a few weeks to get in to optimal game shape, but he should continue to be the same Elliott fantasy football players know and love.

As for Gordon, in all my drafts, I saw Gordon go between the third and fifth rounds. And that is dropping with every passing day.

I am also coming around on Todd Gurley. Are we overreacting? It was very bad in the playoffs when he barely saw the field, but that was months ago. There are stats all over the place showing he could still be a top-5 back even if you reduce his usage by 20 percent. I don’t know if i believe that will be the case, but I believe Gurley is the engine of the Rams’ offense, and they know their path to victory is through him.

Wide Receivers

So we now know Tyreek Hill won’t be suspended at this time by the NFL. I said in the original post that he would be my #2 receiver if he wasn’t suspended. That holds true. The reason I have him top two along with DeAndre Hopkins is that I believe those two players have an uncapped ceiling when it comes to fantasy production. Hopkins is the unquestioned top target on his team, and he has the talent to overcome double/triple coverage, because he is the best at catching passes in coverage. Tyreek flat out has the speed to run past coverages, and has a coach that will maximize his ability.

In regards to me moving Antonio Brown down a few spots, I’m worried about his feet. He is still not practicing, and I’m not entirely sure when the clips of him running 1-on-1’s from Hard Knocks are from, but the reports are now that he isn’t with the team, and they have no idea the status of his injury or even where he is. I personally love AB, but this isn’t trending in the right direction. Stay Away.
